Steve Carlisle, PE
President
As Wightman’s President, Steve is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm's operations and business development to support its strategic plan. With over 27 years of experience at Wightman, Carlisle has held various leadership positions within the firm; he began his career as a civil engineer before being promoted to project manager and client representative roles. He was named Director of Engineering in 2015. In 2022, he was appointed to the role of Government Sector Leader. He previously served on the firm’s board of directors from 2012 – 2023 in various positions, including several terms as Chairman. His impressive career in the civil engineering industry and commitment to Wightman's service to its clients and people-centric culture will ensure the firm continues to grow.

Personal Note
Steve keeps busy attending his son’s sporting events and is a die-hard Michigan State University football and basketball fan. He is disappointed with his daughter's decision to attend U of M and is in the process of removing her from the will. When the weather is good, you’ll find this master griller making his amazing chicken wings, but don’t expect him to share his sauce recipe with you.
