Mary’s passion is clean water, the most important natural resource on the planet. She thrives when she can assist a community develop solutions to complex water or wastewater issues. Clean, crisp water is a process involving calculations, conveyance systems, water treatment plants, and quality standards. It is what Mary has excelled at since joining the company in 2008 and continues to do so in her leadership position as Process Group Manager for Wightman’s newly focused water and wastewater discipline. Additionally, she is an important mentor and role model for young female engineers building their careers within the company.

Personal Note
Mary’s father and past Wightman President, Tom Deneau, was her very first mentor. He has many traits she respects and has always sought to emulate. He is kind, patient, a hard worker, friendly, outgoing, family-focused, and goal oriented. They share a love of water and wastewater that has created a ripple effect within Wightman. Her work is moving a new department to the forefront of the company, which will benefit countless people for decades. And who knows? Maybe her sons will follow in her footsteps one day like she followed in her father’s.
