Wightman Opens Third Indiana Location, Ninth Overall
Portage, Ind.—Wightman, a multi-disciplinary firm specializing in architecture, civil engineering, and surveying, recently opened a new office in Portage, Ind.. Located at 2646 Hamstrom Road, the office marks the third Indiana office location for the firm, joining South Bend and Plymouth, and is the ninth Wightman office location overall. The new location supports the company’s strategic plan to grow throughout the Great Lakes region.
Wightman President Matt Davis stated, “Our new office in Portage marks the beginning of an exciting chapter as we open the doors to a space where innovation, collaboration, and success will flourish. This strategic expansion allows us to better cater to the needs of our clients and supports Wightman’s commitment to help build stronger communities while providing a more convenient location for our team members and partners.”
The Portage office will be led by licensed architect Scott Falk, who has deep roots in the community and is the former owner and principal of FLD Architects, previously of the same location. Falk joined Wightman in 2022, bringing nearly 40 years of architectural design experience to the firm.

Falk shared, “It has been my long-time goal to offer full architecture and engineering services to the Northwest Indiana community, and the Wightman team brings a talented group of professionals dedicated to providing quality design to better the built environment.”
The new office opened Nov. 1 and allows Wightman increased accessibility throughout Northwest Indiana, offers enhanced collaboration between staff and clients, and supports Wightman’s commitment to serving the Education, Government, Commercial, and Energy sectors.
In addition to architecture, civil engineering, and surveying, the firm provides complementary services including GIS, interior design, landscape architecture, planning, and reality capture to holistically address all facets of a client’s project.
