Wightman Hires Mishra to Lead Education Sector

Royal Oak, Mich.—Wightman, a multi-disciplinary consulting firm specializing in architecture, civil engineering, and surveying, announces the hiring of Nandita Mishra as the company’s Education Sector Leader.

Mishra is a thought leader with a background in both architecture and interior design. As the newly appointed Education Sector Leader, she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to drive innovative solutions in creating dynamic and effective learning environments.

With over 25 years of experience in educational planning and design, Mishra has demonstrated her expertise across K-12, collegiate, nonprofit, and municipal projects. Her passion lies in collaborating with districts to envision and implement transformative solutions, contributing to the evolution of educational environments.

Mishra earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from L.S. Raheja School of Architecture in Mumbai, India, and a Master of Science in Interior Design from Virginia Tech.

“Nandita is the right person to lead our education team,” said Wightman’s President Matt Davis.

“Her experiences as a teacher, lifelong student, mother, architect, and industry expert have formed her foundation of prioritizing and relating to what our clients and their students care about,” he added.

In addition to her expansive background, Nandita is an Accredited Learning Environment Planner (ALEP) through the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE). She is the former president of the A4LE Michigan Chapter and the current president of the Midwest Great Lakes region.

Mishra will work out of Wightman’s Royal Oak office.
