Wightman Director of Marketing Named Marketing Professional Services Chapter President
Wightman is proud to announce that Nicollette Cardwell, Director of Marketing, has been named the 2025-2026 President of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Southeast Michigan Chapter.
Cardwell, who joined Wightman in 2022, has been instrumental in leading the firm’s marketing and communications initiatives, driving brand visibility, and supporting strategic development strategies within the company across its Great Lakes service region. With more than 14 years of experience in marketing and professional services, she has a proven track record of creating meaningful connections between clients, communities, and design professionals.
In 2023, she earned the Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) credential, a distinction held by fewer than 1,000 professionals nationwide, demonstrating her expertise and commitment to the architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.
As President, Cardwell will guide the SMPS Southeast Michigan Chapter in delivering valuable professional development, networking, and leadership opportunities to marketers and business developers in the AEC industry. Her leadership will play a key role in advancing the chapter’s mission to transform business through marketing leadership.
“I am honored to serve as President of the SMPS Southeast Michigan Chapter,” said Cardwell. “SMPS has been an incredible resource in my professional journey, and I look forward to giving back by supporting our members and strengthening the role of marketing in shaping the future of the AEC industry.”
The SMPS Southeast Michigan Chapter is part of a national organization dedicated to creating business opportunities for AEC firms through professional development, advocacy, and networking.
“Wightman is thrilled to see Nicollette take on this important leadership role,” said Wightman President Steve Carlisle. “Her commitment to excellence and her ability to inspire others make her a natural fit to lead the SMPS Southeast Michigan Chapter. We are excited to see the positive impact she will make for both the organization and the broader AEC community.”
